Amosh Designs is first and foremost a provider of affordable services. One of these is Prêt-à-porter web sites! So designs that you can ‘slip on to’ your website and get going adding your content quickly!

I have three such sites displayed here http://www.amoshdesigns.ie/readysites.html, each only €150 per site, which is hard to beat! For this you get a site design, set up using WordPress to allow you to add and edit your site content yourself, easily! WordPress, while a blogging system, is a nifty backend Content Management System for websites, and I have the site set up so that it doesn’t have a ‘blog’ look!

So you don’t feel like you’ve been dropped in at the deep end, I also provide a back-up service in the proceeding weeks after handover (no extra charge, just lots of good karma!).

I have a selection of these sites ready to go, all you have to do is contact me and I can send you on the images!

Never say never…

Blah anyway, I’ve always been able to say that I’ve NEVER had the Flu up until last week. Typical!!! To make matters worse, I couldn’t even take anything stronger than a lemsip to help any pains/aches due to the little bun in the oven! Thankfully, it appears to have been a mild strain of it, dominating on the throat, but my sense of taste and smell are slowly coming back to normal now – but it’ll be a few more days before everything tastes as it should!

Enough of the rambling about my health! I’ve a to-do list a mile long in front of me. I’ve spent the last week doing little or nothing, but before that I had big plans for Amosh Designs PR! I guess I need to get cracking on it now!

Basically, over the coming days and weeks I will be releasing a press release, information sheets & documents, examples of sites with relative prices for prospective clients and such to be able to see what one can get for a particular price!

So I guess: WATCH THIS SPACE!

No such thing as the original…

I’ve always held the opinion that nothing we do can be classed as ‘original’, yes it can be ‘ours’, it can be unique to us, BUT, something inspired us in the first place, so therefore, how can anything be classed as original?

Take for example this article about the history of the Times New Roman font  http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/a2fa033e-7ca1-11de-a7bf-00144feabdc0.html

I’m not disputing someone’s right to their protect their creations, but I do think the notion of being ‘original to me’ is misguided… Afterall, one of my designs could inspire another to design something of their own, and something will have inspired me to begin with… Creativity not originality ;)

Amosh Designs launches Blog!

Welcome to my blog!

I figured it was high time I started one, and I’ve spent the last while gathering some information that I hope you all find interesting, thought provoking, and useful.

Amosh Designs (pronounced Ah-mosh or Eh-mosh, I’m not too fussy, although I personally use Ah-mosh) is basically me, Anna Hutchinson! I’m a holder of BSc in Computer Systems and Graduate Diploma in Technical Communication, both from the University of Limerick. As an employee I have worked as a technical writer, technical trainer, technical support, e-learning developer, and many other roles that seem to have revolved around communication without me ever realising it!

As Amosh Designs, however, I am a jack-of-all-trades in communication media – covering documentation of every sort, marketing, websites, user guides, and technical guides; as well as technical training and consultancy covering these areas also.

Over the coming days I will be sending out a press release for Amosh Designs and will make sure to post more here!
