AMOSH Designs is a documentation design and development company that services clients all over Ireland, set up in 2008, by me, Anna Hutchinson. Since trading commenced, I have been creating web sites and documentation from brochure sites to event tickets, chat fora to informational programs.
Previously, I have worked as technical writer, technical trainer, and e-learning developer. I feel very strongly that documentation should be intuitively usable for users, but without compromising on the ‘looks’. Therefore, when you are contemplating new documentation, be it a new web site, or redesigning an existing site, you should include me in your list of prospective providers!
I have the skills and experience to take your project from start to finish, regardless of the complexity, if there’s something I do not have the expertise in, I have have a great network of contacts where I will find the right person for you! If you haven’t already done so, you should have a look at my portfolio to see work I have completed in the past.
I pride myself in providing the highest quality service for an unbeatably competitive price, always. I believe in using my abilities to help people. AMOSH Designs’ ethos is simple: Provide the best service, without the high price!
In order to avail of the prices I offer, I place some of the onus back on you: I expect YOU to do some of the work, helping you achieve what you want! You wouldn’t expect, or allow, another person know more about your business than you do, so why let someone else know more about your website or documentation than you?
I believe in giving people control; empowerment for want of a better word.
What do I mean?
We all use tools and equipment in our day-to-day lives to perform tasks: email, phones, cookers, vacuum cleaners, cars, electric toothbrushes… The list goes on and on! So when trying to describe what I do and what AMOSH Designs is, I think the best word is: TOOL! I am the tool that you should use to create your website and/or documentation.
I studied Technical Communication, and work as a Technical Writer, which is the reason the ‘documentation’ word crops up a lot when I speak! So, when you consider documentation, you probably think of books and such things. I, however, view documentation as communication: The written word! This is why I consider websites to be a form of documentation. You are using the written word, presented online, in a website ‘format’ to promote your service or products. Documentation can also refer to the help systems within your software. So when you consider this (and I have, believe me) websites, online help, printed user guides, etc; they’re all just different presentations of the same thing: text and graphics, describing products and services!
Perhaps, now, it makes a little more sense why I say that I specialise in Documentation Design. Documentation Design from AMOSH Designs encompasses both printed AND online media; including brochures, catalogs, flyers, e-learning courses, web sites, online help, etc.
I don’t believe in charging for the knowledge I have, and I am more than happy to advise and recommend, so if you need to discuss a project, or are looking for advice, please contact me.
